Spend an afternoon learning to sew these fun, addictive and lovely bowls. The technique is similar to English Paper Piecing and it makes for a very portable project. These bowls are so much fun to personalize and make as gifts, we betcha can't make just one!

 

KIT ($25.00 fee paid to Judith)

Bowl pattern which includes master templates to make bowls in seven sizes and clear, well written instructions with lots of pictures

Selection of fabrics

Selection of polyester threads (cotton is not strong enough)

Pattern for one small bowl printed on cardstock

Use of transparent templates for fussy-cutting

SUPPLY LIST

One yard of Pellon Peltex 70 (preferred ) or 71F stabilizer

Hand sewing needles

FineLine fabric pen or soft lead pencil

Fabric scissors and fabric snips

Fabric glue pen and refills (Sew Line or similar)

6 Wonder Clips

Any fabric you would like to use or share to make bowls. Silks, linens, cotton prints stripes and plaids all work well as long as the fabrid is pliable enough to hold a fold over an edge of stabilizer and hand sew it down, it will work. Mix and Match onsider fussy cutting for prints, plaids and stripes. Judith has lots of examples to show.
