NEW PIECES is a unique quilting store located in the heart of the north Berkeley shopping area. Our specialty is contemporary, color-saturated fabrics and authentic Japanese fabrics. We carry nearly 3,000 bolts of fabrics, (mostly cotton), over 400 book titles, and stock a wide variety of quilting supplies, and magazines. New Pieces offers an assortment of classes.
New Pieces most important features is the quality of staff that work here. Together, we have accumulated hundreds of years of quilting experience and are happy to support you in your quilting projects.
New Pieces also contains our Quilt Gallery, in which we have exhibitions of quilt artists with their artwork for sale.
New Pieces houses our industrial quilting machine on 4th Ave. We do free-form long arm machine quilting for you. All you have to do is bring or send your top and back to us (see details in Quilting Service) and we take it from there. We have lots of designs to work from and are inventing new ones all the time. If you would like your quilt bound, we can do that too. As a matter of fact we can do most any part or all of the quiltmaking process you desire.
Hours: Monday-Saturday: 10am-6pm and Sunday: Noon-4pm.
